COI

Please be aware of Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. -- SEWilco (talk) 05:44, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In addition to reading the above, Mr. Corbyn, I would suggest going over Wikipedia:Autobiography as well. It should be helpful. My regards, ~ UBeR (talk) 17:19, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to the PC article clearly break the COI guidelines. Please don't do this, you'll only cause yourself pain. I've reported this for discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard#Piers Corbyn. Rather than simply reverting, it would be better to discuss, either on the article talk page or here William M. Connolley (talk) 21:40, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

I've blocked you for 3h for COI violation and in an attempt to force you to discuss this William M. Connolley (talk) 16:28, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please specify here or on the article talk page any portions of the article that you find libellous and those points will be addressed. Further massive reverts or edits violating

WP:COI will result in a much longer block. Vsmith (talk) 23:55, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply

Article

Hi,

I'm reviewing the article on yourself and your business for neutrality and accuracy over the next while. There will be a number of questions where I'll need exact references to allow me to look up the sources concerned, in order to confirm they are presented in a policy-compliant manner (neutral point of view).

I've noted the edits so far, and some of the main sources needed, on the talk page at Talk:Piers Corbyn.

Many thanks!

COI block

You have been blocked for

WP:COI violations. Please discuss your concerns on the talk page after the block expires. Vsmith (talk) 17:20, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply

Please, Vsmith, if you are going revert and block his edits, at least remove potentially libelous material (e.g. "his methods are not taken seriously by official weather prediction bodies"), which lacks any form of sourcing. ~ UBeR (talk) 17:51, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From Piers Corbyn Notwithstannding careful and genuine efforts by some to be fair and accurate; right now I have got better things to do with my life than piss around with reversion games with people who object to my including the follwing facts (eg)in my biog. 1. I gained a Royal Schlarship to Imperial college (in 1965). 2. I gained a first class degree (in 1968). 3. I had work publshed on the mean matter density of the universe and the string loop theory of galaxy formation -and gave references (NOTE someone before asked for these references)

What is COI about that???

This is all checkable stuff - phone IC or John East & partners - the nominated advisor on the stock exchange (AIM) for weather action holdings plc flotation What is there to discuss? Piers Corbyn - TEL +447958713320

Dr. Corbyn, you need to understand the policies regarding
reliable source. If something appears on your page that is either simply vandalism or something that you believe to be libellous and unsourced, you're welcome to remove it. Otherwise, it's best if you not edit your own page. If you find a reliable source with relevant information that you believe should be included in your article, please make a note of it on your article's talk page (which you should feel free to edit in general) and let another editor make the additions.
