Favicons

I collect

favicons
. At the moment I have over 3300 of them. A few of them are 'orphans': I do not know the sites they came from.

I you think you could help, and want to do me a big favor, please have a look at them.

My 'orphan' favicons

Thanks! Debresser (talk) 20:17, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Nice collection. I'll see if I can help out.... --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 11:40, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Did you ever have that look? Debresser (talk) 12:59, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

I didn't have time to go thru all of them....I had a bit of a time constriction.... I'll go thru it it and let you know in the next week or two. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 10:34, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
There are only 30 there. Those are my "orphans". The rest I have with links to their pages. Thanks, I'll be looking out for your reaction. Debresser (talk) 10:56, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
I think I recognise a few of them, I'm trying to remember which ones those are. I have a strange feeling that the last one might belong to an anitspyware/av company as yahoo antispyware hade a similar logo. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 15:22, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
I really appreciate it. Debresser (talk) 15:32, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. Writing in Hindi on computers will be tough for me :) though I can review sometimes if needed. Even in my mother tongue, I find it quite laborsome to write on computers.--GDibyendu (talk) 10:53, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for bringing it to my notice. I'm back and active now, and will be editing the article regularly. I think we can go in for a GA shortly :) Regards, SBC-YPR (talk) 12:52, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the barnstar. It really made my day :) Regards, SBC-YPR (talk) 09:40, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Civility

This edit was unnecessary and incivil. You might want to consider striking it. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 16:49, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

RE:KK

Thanks. I loved his "Nenaithu Nenaithu" song from 7G and that started my search for his picture. I got lucky in this instance getting the author to change the license from a CC-non-commerical to a regular CC. There are some good souls out there. See comments at [2]. I got Resul Pookutty's picture from the same author. Pictures, they make a world of difference for an article. Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 02:56, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion tagging

Could you please review the criteria for speedy deletion, particularly

G1, before tagging any more articles? The last four articles you tagged did not meet the specified criteria (although I did delete one for a different reason). Thank you. -- Ed (Edgar181

A-7d

It should be just A-7: "An article about a real person, an organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability. This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people and organizations themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software and so on. The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source. If the claim's credibility is unclear, you can improve the article yourself, propose deletion, or list the article at articles for deletion.". I think the "d" was a typo. Hi. Just a note re this edit; per

WP:BLANKING, editors are permitted to remove warnings from their own talk pages, it's taken as signifying that they have read and understood the message. I remember making this mistake myself a while ago, until someone pointed me to the guidelines. :) – Toon(talk)

INCOTM

Hi, please nominate articles which can be interesting for a general editor of WP:India to contribute. For articles which has POV issues or bias issues etc, can be handled separately. Also, I am not sure whether it will be at all possible to make articles like

Cafe Coffee Day to at least GA at this point of time. --GDibyendu (talk

Happy Birthday

Happy Wiki-birthday!
Guess what? You've been on Wikipedia exactly four years today! Thanks for all you've done around here, and all you continue to do. All the best, – Quadell (talk) 20:35, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

My sincerest appreciation

The Original Barnstar
While a few of us were involved in editing Transport in India and taking it to GA-status, it was your relentless zeal and unflagging determination that saw the article grow from strength to strength. Today, if the article is a far cry from what it was a few months back, a substantial portion of the credit goes to you. Thank you for inspiring me with your enthusiasm to contribute in my small way to the article - you deserve every point of this star. Keep up the great work.
