Don't understand how this does not fit guidelines
Hi,
I do not understand how my contributions do not fit with the guidelines. I work for ETS and was told to make changes especially concerning the use of TOEFL without a noun afterwards such as test or scores as that is a violation of our trademarking. Every edit I made can be supported with information from our website www.ets.org/toefl. We do have 27 million test takers and 8,500 institutions. These are not opinions.
If there are specific items you feel are opinions, can you please tell me rather than delete all my contributions. Some of the items stated on the page are incorrect. Also, we were following what other companies like IELTS have done. I would appreciate your assistance in this matter.

- Well, the first thing is, if you work for ETS, you probably should be editing the reliable secondary sources--that is, not things published by ETS itself, but things written in other sources unaffiliated with ETS. For example the "27 million test takers" is much more of a promotional statement than a factual one. I'm not saying it's false, I'm simply saying it's unencyclopedic. Furthermore, I'm not entirely certain that we can take ETS's word on the subject...on the latter point, though, I may be wrong, and I'd have to check for further opinions. Another giveaway that your edits weren't acceptable was the use of trademark symbols and talk of "family of products". Thank you for the explanation. There are a few errors that should be corrected. TOEFL PBT test is being phased out and is not readily available and TOEFL Junior now has two tests instead of just one. Would it acceptable to add these corrections? Also, there is no section on TOEFL ITP test. Is it allowable to add it?
