January 2012

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, SOPAonWheels!, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to

change in username
by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.

Request reason:

Account name does not violate the username policy. Would perhaps be easier to object if I remembered the password, but...

Decline reason:

Unfortunately, you will find it impossible to volunteer with Wikipedia with this username- it is so similar to the name a vandal would choose that other editors will assume you are a vandal yourself. Being able to work together with others is an essential part of how Wikipedia works, so it would not be a good idea for you to choose a username that makes it hard for others to work with you. That's what the 'disruptive' means as part of the list of things that make a username inappropriate. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 12:14, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Wait a minute... User:Prodego, is that you? I thought it was a new user. WTF? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 12:34, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oh come on, it was a joke account created in the midst of the blackout, it isn't anything to get too alarmed about. — Moe ε 13:38, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I own the account, no, it doesn't violate the username policy. No I don't remember the password, so it is all academic anyway. :) Prodego talk 20:34, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just be glad The Bushranger (talk · contribs) disabled the autoblock. ;) Reaper Eternal (talk) 21:20, 19 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's odd, because when I accidentally blocked myself, the autoblock prevented me from reverting vandalism until I cleared it too. Reaper Eternal (talk) 13:17, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
