Your recent edits to The Byrds article

Hi Siepe! Just to let you know, I have reverted your formatting of The Byrds' band name so that "The" is capitalized. The reason for this is that "The" is part of the band's name, just like The Velvet Underground or The Beatles, and is not simply a prefix to a singular or plural noun. Secondly, as per the Wikipedia

Manual of Style (music), capitalizing of "'The' may be preferred when listing bands", while a "capitalized 'The' is optional in wikilinks." Editor consensus across all The Byrds-related album and single articles is to universally use "The Byrds" with a capitalised 'T'. As per the Manuel of Style, this preference among the regular editors of those articles should be carried through to the main Byrds article as well for consistency. For a comparison, see how the regular editors working on The Beatles
article have also chosen to use a capital "T" throughout.

Other than that, your copy editing was most welcome, so please keep up the good work on Wikipedia. Oh, one other thing, I notice that you also removed the italicizing from Grand Ole Opry and Billboard. As per

MOS:TITLE, albums, books, paintings, films (feature-length), radio shows and television series should be italicized. So too should Magazine titles...and since Billboard is a magazine, it requires italicizing. Many thanks. --Kohoutek1138 (talk) 12:10, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply

True Grit

I have reverted this edit, which made no sense at all. To alter a direct link to the article about the film's directors/producers to an article about the last name is simply baffling to me. The other, minor, edits weren't helpful either, so I have restored the earlier wording of the lede altogether. Please be more careful in future. Thank you. ---
