Enjoyed seeing the appearance of the article about Maria Monk. Was meaning to get around to that one day. I added a couple paragraphs, mostly relating the tale told to Gothic novels. -- Smerdis of Tlön 17:57, 4 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Karl Wilhelm Naundorff
Heya.. nice work on the Karl Wilhelm Naundorff article! I created that wee stub a while back when it was on a list of "articles in the French wikipedia that we don't have in English", and it was a pleasant surprise to see that someone had greatly expanded it! —Stormie 23:52, Jun 29, 2004 (UTC)
Re: NFC
Oh, no worries; that's happened to me before, too. If only a warning would pop up informing you that "an article under this title was deleted in the past five minutes; are you sure you want to create it again?".. but such would probably be a waste of developer time. Anyway, thanks for your effort in combing through the new arrivals. Those delete tags are very helpful to us janitor-types. Cheers, -- Hadal 10:27, 7 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Cuddle party
Hello. I just wanted to let you know I removed the nonsense tag from Cuddle party since it doesn't qualify under the stringent requirements of Wikipedia:Patent nonsense. The article doesn't qualify for speedy deletion, but you could VfD it if you wish. Thank you. SWAdair | Talk 08:55, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Thank you for helping with the Wiki Syntax
Thank you for helping out with cleaning up the wiki syntax - with the ones that didn't have any flaw, Artemas Ward had already been already fixed by someone else earlier today, April 14 had been fixed by someone a few days ago, the Apoptosis article got fixed by someone else two days ago, and Arthur Q. Bryan & Arab diaspora did have misplaced square brackets (but they were very very very easily missed, so don't worry about it). Thank you once again, and all the best - Nickj 08:50, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Changed vote on vfd
Hey there, I just wanted to let you know I changed my vote on
Southfleet
Hello! I am not too sure why you have called what is now written about this Kent village a stub. It is a very small place (about 2 miles from me!) and I cannot see what else - certainly not reams of it! - can be added. I looked at Geography stubs and it seems to me that we can ill-afford adding too many more ...

Fake news / VfD
Thank you for your contribution in the "fake news" discussion. Your intervention came just in time to ease tensions and perhaps find an intermediary solution that may be well interesting - a disambiguation page. COngratulations for the idea. Paulo Andrade.

Merge and Delete votes
Hi Skysmith! I have seen you vote merge and delete on several VfD debates. I understand why you want to do so (that title is useless!), but if you read
Wikiagraphy
There are some notorious people that we don't know much about; which makes it hard to write a decent article. Plus, sometimes names are associated with notorious people, and come up in different places. Such as
- Ok, I think I've found a suitable solution. A catagory called "biography" or "people" could be created on wikitionary. Also, a category called "gazateer" for places could be created on wikitionary.--whicky1978 June 28, 2005 22:59 (UTC)

WfD:Missing Sun myth
I noticed you said that the newer copy-paste article should be made to redirect. I'm sure you should agree that it needs to be deleted, and the original one should be moved back to its old name. This cannot be done unless the new article goes completely first.
Re: Deletionism
Thanks for bringing up this point about "critical mass". I have added something to this statement [1] that I hope might clarify my position a bit. --malathion talk 09:12, 3 August 2005 (UTC)
Photo of Alain Bombard
Hi! I'm the person who suppressed the photo of Alain Bombard recently. I live in France and I can assure you that this is not a photo of alain Bombard. It's a photo of Haroun Tazieff, a french vulcanologist. You can find photos of Alain Bombard here. --Geremy78 12:31, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
Re: Sorry Skysmith
Hum...Well...You are right Skysmith,I must apologize. The first time I suppressed the photo of your article anonymously and without any comment: this is a violation of the Wikiquette, and a "Faux pas". But I suppose these mistakes are common among the newcomers. I usely don't make any modification in the articles. I'm really sorry for the inconveniences. --Geremy78 09:31, 5 August 2005 (UTC)
Government Warehouse
You may remember that I addressed your concerns about the original contents of
Skysmith,
I noticed your recent edit to 1254, where you added the marriage of Edward I of England and Eleanor of Castile. I am glad to see others toiling in the obscure backwaters of ancient year summaries! Generally though, the rule is that marriages are not notable enough to be listed on year summary pages, even if the bride and/or groom are notable historical figures. However, exceptions are made for marriages which are particularly significant historical events, i.e. ones that precipitate the beginning or ending of armed conflict, establish new dynasties, etc. I don't know the particulars of the marriage of Edward I and Eleanor, but unless it has notable historical significance, it should probably be removed. If it is significant, please add (very brief) context so that readers can see why it's listed. Thanks! - Bantman 16:59, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I agree with you that royal marriages are always noteworthy, but the text you added to the one in question makes this example perfectly acceptable in my eyes. Thanks for your work in following up on my comment. - Bantman 16:37, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
Agitator
When changing the meaning of the article drastically, please always check the back links, otherwise their logic may become screwed up (as it happened, e.g., with Agitation page; fixed) mikka (t) 22:29, 3 November 2005 (UTC) Also, it is a useful work to check other forms of an ambiguous word (in our case: agitation, agitate) whether they link to proper meanings. mikka (t) 22:58, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Daniel Dancer
Hi there, your Daniel Dancer article is up on AfD. I was wondering if you have a source reference for the artice? Pete.Hurd 21:36, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
- Rechecking my library. I've had second thoughts about that myself - Skysmith 10:33, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
- Daniel Dancer is from the 1988 Reader's Digest book "Facts and Fallacies". And this does seem to be the only reference. Nihilartikel? I'll mention this in the AFD. - Skysmith 11:03, 12 November 2005 (UTC)]

- Depends on what you want to do. The text in articlespace is apparently gone now; if you write something you want deleted, you can just mark it for deletion with {{delete}} and an explanation for that request in the edit summary. Otherwise you just edit the text in the page.
