Thurston Island
I have seen other people like me which are called micronationalist do the exact same thing I did and it was not deleted so why was mine? And please put it back and if it needs to be twicked a little that's fine but I really need that up there. Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.
- I added a subject heading to your message to make it easier to find on my page. The reason I removed your information I was not able to find any sources online that verified that what you were stating was true, and if true, that it was notable. If a reliable third-party source like a major newspaper, magazine, book, &c., had reported on your micronation's claims on Thurston Island, that would be a stronger case for keeping it as a part of an article. On the other hand, a source like [starkingdomsk.weebly.com the one you linked to] is not a reliable source, because anyone could have created it -- someone reading the article about Thurston Island has no way to be sure that the information is reliable and important (notable) enough to be mentioned. As a rule, micronations tend not to be notable enough to be included, because anyone can form one, and they aren't frequently covered in reliable sources. Does this make more sense? --some jerk on the Internet (talk) 00:06, 12 November 2014 (UTC)]
Yes it does make since but why do other micro nations do the same thing I'm doing and there pages don't get messed with?
- Can you link to some of the micronations that you're seeing included (to create a wikilink, put its title between two sets of brackets, so Aerican Empire--> just because another article about something similar is on Wikipediadoesn't automatically justify inclusion. As far as why other micronations' articles "don't get messed with," I can only really comment for myself; what I do mainly is watch recent changes to Wikipedia as a whole, and address issues as I see them. Other editors do different functions and make different decisions. I hope that makes things a little more clear -- if you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!
- One more little thing: when you add a comment or message on my talk page or anyone else's, could you please add your signature to it by typing 4 tildes (~) at the end? Thanks. --some jerk on the Internet (talk) 13:22, 12 November 2014 (UTC)
