Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to The Chris Moyles Show. Thank you. Tiddly-Tom 19:39, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your feedback; I discovered that the Webster book has an entire chapter on him (which I'd completely forgotten about), which was more than enough to provide a reasonable article. All the Hall of Famers now have at least some kind of article - I'd appreciate your feedback on where you think they can be improved. Thanks. Watty1962 (talk) 03:21, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Auf Wiedersehen Pet

Thanks Swaddon for the change I must have mistyped. Oddly enough someone else (an anon user) did almost exactly the same thing (right down to the same characters) on another page that I am subbing. Either that or some slight cock-up in the software. I do check my edits but we can all make a slip.

So, thanks for that.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Pitmedden railway station

Hello! I've reverted your recent change to Pitmedden railway station. This station was by Pitmedden House near Dyce in Aberdeen. Pitmedden in Aberdeenshire is a completely different place that never had a railway — it's closest stations were at Logierieve and Udny. --Deskford (talk) 15:06, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, have you got a reference to support this edit you made to the above article, and can you add it to the article. Thanks. Eldumpo (talk) 11:19, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This site [1] has a database of all Aberdeen players, and there is no result when I search for Tom Devlin, so he didn't play any first team league games for Aberdeen. Swaddon1903 (talk) 14:04, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey,

Nice work on the lede of this article. That sort of work goes underappreciated around here, so it's great to see folk stepping up. Thanks! Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward: not at work) - talk 23:29, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for the helpful edit. You might have noticed there's been a lot of activity at the article in the last week or so. A small group of us are working to get the article to

Featured status. Your input would certainly be appreciated. He's a huge figure for Norwich fans, but I think you Aberdonians retain a certain amount of affection for him, too. Anyway, any help you give will be terrific. Cheers, --Dweller (talk) 16:57, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply

The article Duff Bruce has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be

deleted for any of several reasons
.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for February 16

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Madelaine Newton, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tim Healy (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ernie Winchester

Hi - would you mind updating Ernie Winchester's page to reflect the information in the obituary that appeared in Scotland on Sunday today? http://www.scotsman.com/news/obituaries/obituary-ernie-winchester-footballer-with-aberdeen-hearts-and-arbroath-1-2926195 I'm afraid I'm not adept enough at Wikipedia's editing functions or requirements to do so without creating extra work for everyone else.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Psychedelicrabbit (talkcontribs) 12:44, 12 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Invite to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
