Proposed deletion of Gerard E. Harper

The article Gerard E. Harper has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Claims of notability do not meet
Wikipedia guidelines
. No independent source coverage can be found.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be

deleted for any of several reasons
.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{

dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page
.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{

dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:54, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply

Paragraphs?

I would like to introduce you to the concepts of paragraphs and sections in articles - in Wikipedia or anywhere else. Do you really think that anyone wants to be faced with 7 kbytes of continuous text - as you gave us in Randolph E. Paul? Solid slabs of text like that frequently indicate that the creator of the article has simply copied the text from somewhere else, typically a PDF, and has been too idle to do any formatting. Can you assure me that you wrote the article? — RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 17:49, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Timneu22 · talk 13:49, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not

Hello The5thharp. It has been over six months since you last edited your

WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Jay Topkis
".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia

mainspace
.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jay Topkis}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Rankersbo (talk) 07:10, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
