Red Sea crisis lede

Hi, and thank you for your work editing the lede for the Red Sea crisis article. I see that you removed the template stating that the lede required cleanup. I added that template, as there is an ongoing editor dispute over having "the United States–Iran proxy war" as an alternate name for the conflict. We have not reached a consensus, and so I added that template to foster discussion. It looks like you removed the template, but the dispute has not yet been resolved. Would you care to weigh in on the talk page on that issue? It could also be beneficial to restore the lede cleanup template until the issue is resolved. Thank you! --Delta1989 (talk) (contributions) 23:52, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for notifying me; I was unaware of the ongoing dispute and I apologize for removing the template. I will weigh in on that discussion on the talk page shortly. TheDoodbly (talk) 06:35, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate you weighing in, and thanks again for your contributions thus far! I think that it's fair to give a few more days for other editors to weigh in before changing the opening sentence, but it feels like the consensus is coalescing around removing the alternative name. --Delta1989 (talk) (contributions) 21:46, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
