Speedy deletion nomination of CLax

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read

the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard

to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on

Wikipedia:FAQ/Business
for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Raven1977Talk to meMy edits 19:17, 19 May 2011 (UTC) --- Hi there. I saw your question on my talk page. I did not personally delete the page, but since I didn't see any outside references to CLAX or anything in the article to claim Notability, I put up a tag so an administrator would look at it. He or she appeared to agree that it didn't, and read too much like an advertisement, some of the language was a little non-objective. This does not prevent you from trying again, but I would advise that you have references handy if you do choose to create the article again. Raven1977Talk to meMy edits[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Wallaceburg Trashers

Hello TheLifeOfSteve,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Wallaceburg Trashers for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 20:27, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As it stands, the article clearly fails the
Wikipedia is not a place to list every team in every small town across the world, just because it exists. Can you provide any independent references supporting the idea that the team is notable? ubiquity (talk) 20:59, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply

Thanks for uploading File:WallaceburgThrashersLogo.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 08:43, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
