Thumbnail image sizes

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for all your contributions so far. One thing to point out that might be helpful for you is that if you are finding the thumbnail images too small then you can change their default settings for your account. You will find a dropdown list in the 'Appearance' tab on your 'Preferences' page (link top right on most pages). As everyone is accessing Wikipedia on different sized screens, with different font size settings and so on, we generally don't force the size of thumbnails. This allows users to choose a size that suits their own preferences, and if they want to see a detailed close up they can always click through to see the full image. Hope that helps, and happy editing. Pyrope 12:51, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Tannim101

Hello TheMouseMen, I was just wondering if you are connected with the editor Tannim101 in any way? And, if so, would you have a conflict of interest disclose with organizations like he has done on his userpage? You have both edited pages like BASICS Scotland, the various Journal of Paramedic Practice drafts, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dylan Mulvaney, as seen using the Interaction Timeline tool. I'm just curious since you have both edited in a very niche topic area and then became involved with that very recent AfD.

I just want to clarify I'm not accusing you of doing anything wrong, and if anything, I wanted to thank you for your edits to Mulvaney's page which has led to improvements. Thanks so much! Bridget (talk) 18:32, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Heya - yeah we have edited related articles so I follow their edits to see what they’re up to, I assume (as you note) they’re in the same country as me - presumably a similar field. They are also a pain for not explaining what their edits are often in the summary box!
Let me work out how to do the profile thing, as you’re right I have a COI with a College of remote medicine, I’ll put that there. Thanks!
Maybe I should stop following specific peoples edits? Is that weird? I feel like it looks like I’m checking their homework? TheMouseMen (talk) 12:44, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not too sure how to answer your questions - I feel you could probably make better judgements in those situations rather than me. Thank you for making the disclosure on your userpage though. Happy editing! Cheers, Bridget (talk) 14:16, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
-) yeah maybe, I guess I’m too lazy to keep tabs on what’s changing on wiki, maybe I need to add more pages to my watchlist to see what’s happening.

Thanks for the user profile suggestion, I need to work out how to make it look more fancy. I’m not very good at finding templates! TheMouseMen (talk) 14:32, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Ladder approach, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a

false positive, you can report it to my operator

Copying within Wikipedia

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Emergency Medical Retrieval Service into ScotSTAR. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. -- Mikeblas (talk) 15:49, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
