Diacritics
Please stop changing established spelling of tennis player names to the one without diacritics. Despite the preference of some editors to diacritic-free text, the prevailing consensus is that the accuracy is more relevant for wikipedia. Thanks. Duja► 11:46, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello The Priyatyel, and
In Wikipedia, new Users do not automatically receive a welcome; not even a machine-generated welcome. Welcome messages come from other Users. They are personal and genuine. They contain an offer of assistance if such assistance is ever desired.
I suggest to everyone I welcome that they may find some of the following helpful — there’s nothing personal in my suggestion and you may not need any of them:

Hi The Priyatyel! In case you have forgotten, I would like to remind you that you need to stop removing diacritics from the names of tennis players. These are accepted markings that are completely appropriate. When you remove the diacritics, the links have to go through redirects. I notice that Duja gave you the same advice some time ago, and would respectfully request that you heed it.
I would also like to enquire as to why you are removing the line "Retired = Active" from the infoboxes of some players? I can see no reason why it should be deleted. If a player is no longer active, then the Retired field can be left blank, or the year of retirement can be inserted.
Thanks!
