The Sociables’70s / 80s Rock, The project was started by Peter Fulton in November 2007. Peter's concept was to form a professional and experienced band that could reproduce genuine renditions of the classics. After a great deal of effort, Peter settled on the current line up and the reviews these guys have received should make Peter proud of his achievement. The Sociables are continually being told that their reproductions of these classic 70's and 80's songs bring back great memories. The line-up consists of 4 members:- • Barry Callister - Lead Vocals / Lead Guitar. Barry’s lead vocals add an exciting edge to the front position of the band. His dynamic vocals combined with a powerful and energetic guitar performance opens the band up to a wide variety of music. • Peter Fulton – Vocals / Guitar. Peter’s vocals and dynamic guitar brings an original feel and revised sound to the classics, pushing these hits to the limit with ‘note to note' renditions. • Paul Comer - Bassist. Paul has been playing Bass for 15 years establishing himself in all genres. Paul joined The Sociables in Jul 2009 having previously toured Australia with "Her Majesty's Finest" in 2005, since 2006 filling in with Melbourne Blues Band "Spoonful". Paul is a solid player who can lead the way with a very smooth bass run or sit back into the groove. • Mike Buscombe – Vocals / Drums. In the rhythm section is Mike on drums, laying down a solid, powerful and distinct outline for the rest of the band. Mike is definitely a drummer to be recognised. These members are an amazing, talented and dedicated unit, brought together by an enthusiasm of the music they interpret, with a passion that will transport your heart and soul. Barry Callister, the front man for The Sociables, is a talented singer/songwriter who has written original material for The Sociables. Barry has also released an E.P. of original alternative / acoustic / rock songs, performing acoustically, at venues around Melbourne. Members have for over twenty years, performed at various venues around Australia and overseas. These include - Caven Bar - Tokyo, Hard Rock Hotel – Bali, Broadford Rock Concert – Australia, Bindoon Rock Concert – Australia…... Members / Supports include – The Choir Boys, Matt Taylor, Suzi Quatro, Meatloaf, Max and The Hot Rats, Canned Heat, Scratch Band, Lizard, Blue Tongue, Chance, Terraplane, Run for Cover, Dirty Tricks, The Fashion, Resonator, Cry Wolf, Reporters, Faultline, Spoonful and Her Majesty's Finest. The Sociables cover songs by - Cold Chisel, Midnight Oil, Bad Company, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Gary Moore, ZZ Top, Sunnyboys, The Angels, Deep Purple, Rick Springfield, George Thorogood, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Joe Cocker, Free, Romantics, La De Das, Dragon, SteppenWolf, Choirboys, Brian Adams, Beatles, Tom Petty, Lenny Kravitz, Bernard Fanning, Queen, Jo Cocker, Status Quo, Queen, Steve Miller and more.
