You need to provide independent verifiable sources that your article meets the notability guidelines. I hope this helps. Jimfbleak.talk.11:02, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not sufficient just to have correct information, there are hundreds of band articles which are factually correct, but are deleted because they do not meet the criteria above. On
Ca$his and Bobby Creekwater
which were deleted dozens of times and then protected from recreation my me. However, they are now written adequately to get the benefit of the doubt on notability.
You should note that the band's own website or myspace listing will not be accepted as either independent, reliable or notable. To stand a chance, you need independent sources that would be accepted as significant (eg a music press article, review in a mass circulation newspaper, chart success etc). For a new band this may be difficult. Jimfbleak.talk.14:46, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to

talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thanks and good work for adding the new section to The Parlotones, however I'd like to be prepared when the deletionists try to remove it - basically it would help to have a source for the paragraph, and ultimately we might have to narrate what the paragraph says and just provide a link to the paragraph. You've done your job by adding it, now others can do the job of editing it, but a source is still required. Thanks! Rfwoolf (talk) 08:31, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay.
