hello sineed i am the person trying to update the sweet relief page. i am the communications director for the charity and I am using copy from various press and info pieces i have written. the only copy/paste i used was the supporter list. you folks are amazing at this wiki stuff. i am trying. i would really like to see some of the info i entered back on. your last edit looked good. what do you think? tylerjamesmax —Preceding unsigned comment added by [index.php?title=User:Tylerjamesmax&action=edit&redlink=1 Tylerjamesmax] (talk • contribs) 01:56, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
It is generally much much better if people who are interested but not involved do the article-writing. wp:conflict of interest is good reading in this case.
Your statement about the copying was not correct, as the bulk of the article was exactly what I found when I followed the link to the organization's web site. The site is clearly marked "copyright". Thus, you must not, no matter who you are, copy it into Wikipedia.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page
You really should stop now. It really is a copy. If you do not, you will most certainly be blocked.- sinneed (talk)

ok I give up. I was only trying to get good up to date info about our charity in Wiki. Maybe you could write it for us? I am amazed at how you and the other person who wrote and edited were so quick and consistent. Who are you folks? How does wiki cover so well with almost 3 million entries. I am impressed and appreciate you all keeping wiki on the up and up. Maybe you can recommend a wiki writer for us. We are a charity and have no funds for this kind of thing oh well peace Rob Max [index.php?title=User:Tylerjamesmax&action=edit&redlink=1 Tylerjamesmax] (talk) 02:12, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
There are, I think, about 10,000 people scattered around the world who use various tools to watch for edits that should not be there. There may be more or less. But there are a lot.- sinneed (talk) 02:15, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Sweet Relief Fund
You have again attempted to paste in much text that is a direct copy of the content from here
For example: "Sweet Relief Musicians Fund provides financial assistance to all types of career musicians who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems"
Is under "mission" on the website.
The text you are attempting to add includes a section "Charity Mission"
"Sweet Relief Musicians Fund provides assistance to all types of career musicians who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems."
If this were the only content you were copying (even without the "financial"), you could possibly comply with
