Wikisource

Hi. Thanks for contribution like Amritsar treaty. That particular article is clearly public domain by age, but Wikipedia is not quite the proper wiki for it. The actual text of the treaty, as a primary source document, belongs on Wikisource. Wikisource is a sister project to Wikipedia that hosts primary sources. As Wikipedia:Do not include the full text of lengthy primary sources notes, we try to "[a]void including entire texts of treaties, press releases, speeches" and etc. Wikisource already has the text of this particular treaty along with some related documents, located at Wikisource:Treaty of Amritsar. We also have an article on the Treaty of Amritsar, which includes a link to that primary source. Because of that, I've "redirected" Amritsar treaty to the existing article.

I wanted to suggest if you are interested in preserving valuable public documents that you might want to consider contributing them to Wikisource. Documents at Wikisource are extremely convenient to link to from Wikipedia articles that provide encyclopedic overviews of the subject, by simply placing [[Wikisource:Name of article at Wikisource]] in the Wikipedia document. We also have a "template" that automatically links to the Wikisource document, if it has the same name. This is placed by typing {{Wikisource}}, brackets and all. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:16, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading

this list, click on this link
, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

username policy
.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See

one of the many websites
that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a

Wikipedia administrator
that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See
    username policy
    .
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to
appeal a block.

A tag has been placed on

.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Miyagawa (talk) 22:43, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
