- Would it suffice to undo the reversal if I added this reference? It seems completely valid to the best of my judgement. - Absolutely, you can add the material back in with that reference. The problem was only that it was cited to another Wiki; if you instead have an academic source, that's great.
- There's a handy guide to referencing for new editors here, which explains quickly & easily how to insert references (including academic ones) in a nicely-formatted way.
