Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Aggarwala2727 (talk) 11:35, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diff: [1] In this edit you changed "flop" to "success". Those are totally disparate ideas. What reliable source was the basis for this change? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:20, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Ghilli. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Diffs: [2] We do not use hyperbolic, subjective labels like "blockbuster", "super hit", "flop", "failure", "disaster", etc. None of these can be quantified in any way that means anything academic. We also use neutral language in encyclopedias, another reason why these labels are inappropriate. Also any attempt to summarise the overall critical or commercial response to a film must be directly attributed to a reliable source. We don't care what editors personally think or feel about a film's performance. Please don't submit any unsourced content in the future. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:26, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Vijay (actor). Diffs: [3] As noted twice before, stop adding your personal analyses to articles. Any opinion you add, e.g. that a film performed well or was poorly received by critics, needs to be attributed to a reliable source. We do not add our own opinions or evaluations to articles. Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! original research
. You've also been warned not to add unsourced content, yet you keep doing that too. Then there are other problematic edits:
  • This edit is weird. What was that supposed to mean? Why didn't you just change "Tamil country" to "Tamil Nadu"?
  • Why is this text italicised? Aren't you familiar with
    our rules on italics
    ?
  • Here, having been told that hyperbolic, subjective labels like "blockbuster" is inappropriate for inclusion, rather than removing it, you instead decided to clean up the grammar.
  • Similarly here you tidy up the language around the inappropriate word "disaster".
  • Here you clear up the grammar of a sentence that not only uses the meaningless hyperbolic "super hit", but that is also supported by a blog as a reference, yet you don't bother to fix those more important issues.
  • Here, without adding a reference, you change a subject's unsourced birth date. How does this unsourced change help us?
  • Here you apparently are unaware that per
    WP:INDICSCRIPT
    there should be no Indic script in the infobox or lead.
  • More unsourced content here, but somewhat of a moot point, since by consensus at
    WP:ICTF
    , we do not care about satellite rights.
  • In these three edits[4][5][6] it sounds like we're saying that the role Vijay played was called "child artist", when we're just trying to say that he was a child at the time the film was made. Instead of making this distinction, you just changed the capitalisation.
  • Why did you use a parenthetical here instead of writing "in a dual role"? Parentheticals are sloppy and should be used sparingly.

These are just some of the issues. I strongly recommend you familiarise yourself with the problems raised as well as the various guidelines and policies that we expect you to adhere to. Any more unsourced content will result in longer blocks.

If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:06, 21 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sarkar (2018 film). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Only 'Tamil' is not enough. We should have 'Tamil-language' as per the MOS. Tamil-language film

The phrasing "Tamil-language" in the context of "Tamil-language film" is a compound adjective that describes what kind of film it is. This is a common phrasing used worldwide in English, for instance in The Telegraph and The New York Times Where they are describing Spanish-language films, or at The Independent, which describes a Hindi-language film. Please stop making this change, as you are bringing these various articles out of alignment with basic English standards. Note also, that not everybody in the world knows what "Tamil" means, and the compound adjective helps to clarify that ambiguity for non-Indian readers, without needlessly forcing them to click a link to find out. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:15, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

And what is this about? Why did you get rid of the {{film date}} template? Note that I do expect an answer, please. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:22, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Translation template

Please don't add English: Name. Use the {{

trans}} template instead. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:27, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply

Please don't italicise translations

Re: this, we do not italicise translations or otherwise present them as titles. Also, there is no justification for the removal of the {{

trans}} template, as it tells readers that it is a translation. By contrast, your change tells an English speaker that the obvious English word they are reading, is English. That's totally pointless. Either it's a translation, or it is the official English title. In neither case does "English" tell us which of those two facts is true. "Translation", however, does. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:28, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply

Also, I note that Kailash already brought this to your attention, so it's odd that you'd keep making this erroneous change. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:30, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. While many of your edits are constructive, some, like your continued failure to understand that translations are not titles, like here and here and here and here and here cause me concern about your ability to edit constructively. And since you've never responded to talk page notes or other warnings, I have no confidence that you even comprehend what is expected of you.
