Hi,,, I am amused with my attempts to get my comments included in Wikipedia. I believe more editors have read the page than outside readers. It's just not an interesting article. Just a story that needs to be included in the history of aviation and added to Wikipedia.
If you put as much effort as you have into my comments and applied it to the existing content, you would probably end up with an empty page. The existing "reference" links go nowhere and the content in the article is opinion, inaccurate, and unsupported.
Further, the authors of the page do indeed have their own self-interest in the content. Also, their name appears along with their authoritative voice.
My entry into Wikipedia is incredibly simple and minimal. I have eliminated any other material that was objectionable by previous editors. The "reference book" that I now offer is largely a timeline of the events. My personal contribution is to guide the reader's trip through this new product venture. Most of the support material in the book is from local newspapers of the time and photos that are in the public domain and that I own.
I have been to the Teahouse. I got lots of generic comments, editor pointers and not-allows. If you have something special that you would like me to do, I would be interested in hearing about it. Please read the book too. Wcobey (talk) 13:57, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a public forum for people's comments (see
reliable sources
.
Most of the support material in the book is from local newspapers of the time and photos that are in the public domain and that I own.
In that case you can support your contributions by directly citing the articles, using the Template:Cite news.
If you have something special that you would like me to do, I would be interested in hearing about it.
I think your videos are a fantastic piece of history, but to be included on Wikipedia they must be released into the public domain free of advertising.
Wikipedia is not an advertising platform, simple as. Boardwalk.Koi (talk) 16:05, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply

Apologies I hit the reply button a bit early by accident. One more point.
Please read the book too.
This is the crux of the issue really, I shouldn't have to pay you to verify that your edits are factually correct or in anyway relevent, even if it's just a single pound. Boardwalk.Koi (talk) 16:08, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I made no "comments" on the page. My "video" is not included. Wikipedia has too many restrictions, red tape, and confusion for me to do these things. I am 80 years old and not up to the challenge. It’s likely that the page will just wither.
As for the other "references":
Jane's All The World's Aircraft 1955–56 --- is a book that will cost you if you like to reference it.
The History of the XV-15 Tilt Rotor Research Aircraft: From Concept to Flight --- does not exist.
Air Enthusiast --- does not exist either.
You are asking me to "cite" articles. I am not interested in writing for Wikipedia for said reasons. The book is merely a simple "reference" to the title of the Wikipedia page.
I look forward to hearing from you concerning what minimal changes you want me to make. It's only a reference. (Please read my other comments made in my earlier reply.) Wcobey (talk) 23:54, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
