Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 05:15, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

WP:LEDE, "In Wikipedia, the lead section is an introduction to an article and a summary of its most important contents." Please adhere to these guidelines. Thanks, - LouisAragon (talk) 04:39, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply

My sources were from Britannica and National Geographic. Please elaborate how that’s my point of view or personal analysis. WikiAmerican1 (talk) 15:41, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As per the policy - “ Articles must not take sides, but should explain the sides, fairly and without editorial bias.” Not sure how I was taking sides. Do explain. WikiAmerican1 (talk) 15:44, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Soviet Central Asia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Unreasoned/unexplained alteration to longstanding content, inserting a map solely entitled 'Soviet Central Asia' but offering less encyclopedic value (modern borders are not visible). - LouisAragon (talk) 22:39, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The image I posted included the modern borders in dark green. The previous image included Afghanistan in light green, which was never in Soviet Central Asia, so I switched it. Not sure what kind of power trip you’re on. WikiAmerican1 (talk) 17:04, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
