Welcome!

Hello, Williamwildstinson, and

welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV)
. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

Help me!

I recently made an edit to the page on Alex Jones, and it was removed, citing a bias. My edit was factual, revolving around the fact that the cited claims of Infowars being a fake news site (which are correct in nature), were noted by liberally biased news outlets. The fact that it was explicitly stated without a note concerning the bias of these news sources, in fact, was the real infraction on the NVPO, whereas mine was not. To sustain Wikipedia's commitment to unbiased literature, we must honestly present the possible biases of news outlets, be them liberal, conservative, authoritarian, or libertarian.

This issue has been discussed ad nauseam on the article's talk page. To restate the consensus in simple terms, labeling a source or sources as "biased" doesn't make them unreliable at all. Wikipedia reflects reliable sources in direct language. Editorializing language or

, but please review what has already been discussed there, including the 12 pages of talk archives.
It also appears that you specifically made exactly enough edits to be autoconfirmed to edit the Jones article, but these edits were not necessarily productive. This edit, for example, was pointless and distracting. Behavior like this suggests an attempt to game the system. Instead, please discuss your concerns on talk pages and work to improve the project in the meantime. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 23:45, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
