Thank you for cleaning this up into a stub. I ran across it and put it on my VfD-if-no-one-cares-enough-to-fix-it-for-thirty-days list. I can now take it off. Robert A West 20:27, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

Pancho

A nice job on Gonzales -- now if the busybodies will just leave it alone. I may add more material if I don't get too frustrated with the Wikimeddlers. Why don't you take a look at Laver and clean that up a little, including all the speculation about how great he was? Cheers! Hayford Peirce 20:51, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Pancho redux

Great job with the Pancho Gonzales article! I was also trying to figure out how to re-arrange it, and your solution was better than anything I had thought of. Steve Casburn 21:07, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Laver

You're absolutely right. There are still people who consider him the greatest, but, I think, they are mistaken, blinded by the two Grand Slams. In any case, most people here in 2006 believe, I would say, that Sampras or Federer is the greatest. (I have my own opinion on the matter.) But "widely" was making me grit my teeth. Thanks for changing it. Hayford Peirce 01:35, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Shuzo Matsuoka

It's nice to know you. I am a tennis writer of Japanese Wikipedia. I found your name in Shuzo Matsuoka last September. I made a poor stub, but you added statements, very useful to us (not only me, but also for Japanese tennis fans). I've thought "how" I can tell thanks to you. Currently, Japanese WP reached "200" tennis players' articles, the 7th of the world. I started 165 out of them. My best regards. ... --Hhst 03:10, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

File:Atlanticpuffin4.jpg Hello Zaxem. Thank you for your support at request for adminship which ended at the overwhelming and flattering result of (160/1/0), and leaves me in a position of having to live up to a high standard of community expectation. I have removed the old sig because it seems to play up on some browsers. If you need any admin assistance, feel free to ask me, and naturally, if I make any procedural mistakes, feel free to point them out and I look forward to working with you in the future, Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 07:12, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Goldom's RFA thanks

Thank you for your support on my RFA, which closed successfully this morning with a result of (53/2/1). I've spent the day trying out the new tools, and trying not to mess things up too badly :). I was quite thrilled with all the support, both from the people I see around every day, as well as many users who I didn't know from before, yet wrote such wonderful things about me. I look forward to helping to serve all of you, and the project. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with. -Goldom ‽‽‽ 04:32, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

performance timelines on tennis pages

Hello, I just wanted to ask you a couple of questions on the new performance timelines by User:tennis expert that you recently approved. It is the opinion of a few wikipedians that his new timelines look rather displeasing, and, while they highlight information quite well, the colorways tend to clash, leading the timeline to look more like a mosaic than a timeline. Now, what has been happening is the displeased wikipedians have simply reverted the timelines back to the old ones, and in response, tennis expert has (understandably) reverted them back. In this situation, what are a group of concerned wikipedians to do? The obvious solution is to try and compromise with tennis expert, however, he seems convinced that his timeline is the new standard, regardless of what others think. As a relatively new member, I wonder: is there any way to organize a discussion with all wikipedians concerned with this change, including tennis expert, in order to come up with a reasonable compromise? I thank you for any assistance you may provide. --Flute138 03:09, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which finished with a tally of 52/6/1 (~90%). It was an interesting process which gave me a chance to learn a bit about myself and about the community. My intention now is to slowly ease into using those additional buttons on my page. No use being over eager and mucking up the works. The support of all those who went over my record and/or rallied to my defense after the big oppose vote was instumental to the success of this review. Zaxem: Thanks very much for your support at my RfA. Unfortunately, it was clear that no consensus was going to be reached, and I have withdrawn the request at a final tally of 31/17/5.
