Valencian Left (Catalan: Esquerra Valenciana) was a nationalist Valencian
leftist political party founded in July 1934, that advocated self-determination of the Valencian Community. The party was suppressed in Francoist Spain and was not revived when democracy returned to Spain in the late 1970s

History
The party had its origins in a split in
.Between 1935 and 1939, when the party was banned, eventually vanishing, it is difficult to distinguish between the history of ERPV and EV. After obtaining the election of
statute of autonomy, under the official name of País Valencià "Valencian Community". During the civil war, EV's membership peaked at around 10,000 members in 1937.[1]
