100 DC Women

is an annual Wikipedia contest to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of Wikimedia District of Columbia (WMDC) on May 6, 2011. The goal of the contest is to create at least 100 new Wikipedia articles in the month of May, 2022, related to women anywhere in WMDC's geographical scope, the

District of Columbia and the US states of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia
.

Participants who create at least four articles will receive a postcard from one of WMDC's institutional partners in the Washington, DC area.

Rules

Create new articles relating to women in the greater Washington DC region. 2,000 characters and 200 words minimum, with sources, during May 2022. Lists do not qualify.
