Article titles should be precise, recognizable, and neutral. Generally:

Follow the pattern of similar articles

sentence case, and prefer singular nouns

redirects from other plausible titles

Check for special naming conventions for certain article types

as naturally as possible

disambiguation page
|

DON'T:

longer than necessary
|
judgmental words in descriptive titles
|
Don't start with "A", "An", or "The" unless part of a proper name
|
formatting templates instead
|
special characters if avoidable
|
disambiguate more than necessary
|
subsidiary titles that look like subpages
