Source: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Titles tell readers what an article is about.

Article titles should be precise, recognizable, and neutral. Generally:
DO:
English
for the subject
Follow the pattern of similar articles
sentence case, and prefer singular nouns
redirects
from other plausible titles
Check for special naming conventions for certain article types
as naturally as possible
disambiguation page

DON'T:
longer than necessary
judgmental words
in descriptive titles
Don't start with "A", "An", or "The" unless part of a proper name
formatting templates
instead
special characters
if avoidable
disambiguate more than necessary
subsidiary titles that look like subpages
