After deleting Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dartmouth–Yale football rivalry, I found that this article is pretty much of the same type. No serious sources, no proper content. Tone 17:33, 8 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - Seems to fails GNG requirement of significant coverage. Supporting content is not readily located in locations which typically contain it when it exists, such as site:newspapers.com and site:nytimes.com UW Dawgs (talk) 23:48, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • @MisterCake: Given the historic prominence of these two programs, and the longevity of the series, this may well be a legitimate rivalry or notable historic series. That said, AfDs are pretty harsh on one-sentence sub-stubs like this. Any chance you'd be willing to work to improve this? It's an article you created back in 2015. If the answer is "yes", by the way, let me know, and I'd also be willing to help. Cbl62 (talk) 14:12, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Added a bit. It's certainly overshadowed by Harvard/Yale, and a bigger game for Brown, but just about all the Ivy League matchups are historic rivalries. Outside of combos of the big four, Harvard/Yale/Princeton/Penn, seems like it's Cornell/Columbia, Dartmouth/Harvard, and Brown/Yale. Cake (talk) 17:03, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The article from the NCAA site calls it a rivalry and one of the oldest in college football. Dates it to 1880 with 125-plus games played. That's persuasive. Time permitting, I'll take a look, too. Cbl62 (talk) 01:13, 20 October 2018 (UTC) Cbl62 (talk) 01:13, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Sources linked in the article don't describe this in terms that would meet
    WP:NRIVALRY: [1] and [2] (unless it's on a page I don't have a preview for?) don't mention a rivalry at all, and while [3] calls it a "rivalry" I don't think it's in the proper context (just a headline, and also calls Columbia a "rival"). SportingFlyer talk 07:22, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply
