- Comment I'll just explain my rationale for declining the speedy. I felt, still feel in fact, that an international match is an inherent assertion of notability. I grant you that it wasn't mentioned specifically within the article. As the threshold for getting through a speedy is lower, I felt that this had just about enough, though it was always likely to fail an AfD, which appears to be the case. - Comment. I'm sure that this match is well-remembered by Latvian ice-hockey fans, but I don't see any evidence of historical notability other than the underdogs winning against the team that they would take the greatest pleasure in beating. It didn't have any effect on the overall competition, the ]
