Notability not established for either GNG or Wikipedia:Notability (academics). Article is currently a stub, and would be even shorter were irrelevant/unreferenced content to be removed. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 16:03, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

- Comment. In the context of this AfD, and the similar Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Francois Anglade, it is worth noting that the content of both pages is practically the same. See: compare 1102118119 to 1101680611. If both subjects are notable for effectively the same things (and their association with the same topic), then why do we need separate articles for either/both of them? - Keep, or at least Redirect to St Patrick's College, Maynooth as the subject is mentioned here as an important figure in the early history of the college. 𝕱𝖎𝖈𝖆𝖎𝖆 (talk) 20:20, 3 August 2022 (UTC)]

- Keep. There's an entry for him in Encyclopédie des sciences religieuses (1879, 50 years after his death), and another entry in Biographie universelle (1834). His Exposé des motifs is widely held in libraries. I think together with the sources we already have in the article there's plenty of coverage for WP:GNG. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:16, 4 August 2022 (UTC)]
- Weak keep just about meets WP:GNG. -Kj cheetham (talk) 08:00, 5 August 2022 (UTC)]
- Keep Between what we already had and the biographical dictionaries found by talk) 15:06, 5 August 2022 (UTC)]
- Keep -- The founders of St Patrick's College, Maynooth are notable for founding it. The article has quite sufficient sourcing. Even a college history, by another academic, ought not to be regarded as independent. Peterkingiron (talk) 18:04, 7 August 2022 (UTC)]
- Keep per David Eppstein. Mccapra (talk) 05:40, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
