The mere fact that she competed in one international event does not indicate notability, particularly as she did not medal or otherwise distinguish herself in the competition. Delete as failing

• Keep she passes NSPORT as she competed at the Olympic games. Does she pass GNG? I am not sure, someone would need to research Japanese press but there is a good possibility she would that is why NSPORT is written the way it is. - GB fan 11:31, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
• Keep, I am not sure what the proper way is to bring sportspeople from SvG-articles back to mainspace, once the subject reaches notability. The participation in the Olympics is generally sufficient to pass

• Comment I would state for the record that ultimately it is the 100% burden of the article creator and supporters of retention to establish notability by properly sourcing the article. Had the article creator done that, we would not be here. If I had not taken this to AfD, the article would likely have stayed in it previous shape, not mentioning her Olympic participation. • Keep I have expanded the article and every sentence is now sourced. She is certainly not a "one event". If a "second event" is required, then "youngest ever winner at the Japanese national championships" should be sufficient. I invite Safiel and The Banner to take a look at the article now.
