The result was keep. There is consensus, albeit weak, that this individual has been cited frequently enough to WP:CREATIVE#1 Vanamonde (Talk) 02:56, 1 September 2020 (UTC)

While I sympathise with many of the things he advocates for on a personal level, I just don't see how McHarris meets
it is rather too soon for him to be notable. It's admittedly a borderline case, so taking to AFD Eddie891 Talk Work 21:37, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

- Keep, per either WP:GNG. He is cited as an expert on police violence by several mainstream media organizations: [1] (Wired); [2] (WRCB; piece was republished elsewhere), and was profiled/cited in FiveThirtyEight ([3]). AleatoryPonderings (talk) 22:13, 24 August 2020 (UTC)]
- Well, he was cited as a "a doctoral candidate in sociology at Yale University and lead research and policy associate at the Community Resource Hub for Safety and Accountability", which doesn't really mean he's recognized as an expert to me. Best, Eddie891 Talk Work 22:30, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- If someone is sought out for comment from multiple independent news organizations and for opinion pieces from several more, that strikes me as fairly strong evidence that they are regarded as an expert in the field. He needn't have completed his dissertation in order to gain the status of expert. Of course, he is not necessarily the most expert or prominent in his field, but I think the evidence shows that he is regarded as an authority. I agree, however, that it is somewhat of a close call. - Keep. Hello all! I am still new to wikipedia and have been using the Axios on HBO [4] along with Stacey Abrams, Ed Bastian, and Larry Kudlow. Axios the documentary series appears to typically interview individuals of notability.Wikiedits5891 (talk) 15:34, 25 August 2020 (UTC)]

- Comment. I see no cause to pass WP:GNG for his activism. Xxanthippe (talk) 02:53, 26 August 2020 (UTC).]
- Keep. Passes as a civil rights activists for the Black Lives Matter and as an academic + expert on political science in the US. His publications obviously indicate his expertise. --Iockyrice (talk) 21:03, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- Keep - The subject has been widely covered as an expert in the field of police issues, as a civil rights activist and as an academic. He has received wide coverage in traditional publications as well as appearing in a documentary series. The subject easily passes WP:BIO. AuthorAuthor (talk) 03:45, 30 August 2020 (UTC)]
