The Debbie King Show
- The Debbie King Show (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) – (View log)
article about a late night (and I mean it - this stuff normally aired around 3 in the morning) quiz show where the only claim to notability is that it only lasted one night. Will (talk) 22:46, 20 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep as it was a planned weekly series on a national UK network that was cancelled after one airing due to the collapse of said network which was a spinoff of ITV. All TV series -- no matter how short-lived -- are notable if broadcast on a national scale. Deletion of this article would IMO be a case of American-centric bias as I don't see any AFDs for equally short-lived series such as The Will and Turn-On, to name just two. Article can always be expanded with sources, etc. 23skidoo 01:19, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- The difference between The Will and The Debbie King Show is that the former was shown during primetime on a main channel and the latter was on a barely-watched channel, presumably during the early hours of the morning. With Turn-On, the fact its remembered over 40-50 years and has been focused upon in several books is testament to its notability. Will (talk) 12:48, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. I see no proof it's notable. Wikipedia isn't a guide to every TV show ever. I'm sure there is some TV wiki this would be better for. RobJ1981 06:33, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment. As a one-off show on a defunct z-list channel this is not really notable and seems to be included more for the triviality of having only lasted a single episode. That being said, the article might be well served by being merged into Debbie King and then redirected to there. On its own it is just too trivial but as part of a the wider article it looks OK. - Delete. We should not have articles on every quiz show that has appeared on such marginal channels as ITV Play, certainly not one that lasted only one day. Wikipedia is not a TV guide. Absolutely no sources to confirm anyone was aware of the programme's existence, let alone that it's notable. WjBscribe 17:07, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect, and merge with the list of television series cancelled after one episode should suffice. Andrew (My talk) 23:31, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep -- This was a scheduled program on a national channel, and even though it is not notable, it should be included. There are several "pay to lose" shows that are just as notable, yet have articles. And, as someone mentioned, there are also several shows that lasted only one episode that have articles here, but no one knew they exist before reading it here. -- azumanga 02:55, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. No independent sources testify to the importance of this show, and the relevant facts about it are already included in the Debbie King article. EdJohnston 04:31, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
