]- Question - Would being a backing singer for Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 count as outside notability? DitzyNizzy (aka Jess)|(talk to me)|(What I've done) 20:17, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- reply - not that I can see; backup singers are like ponies: not inherently notable in and of themselves. --Orange Mike | Talk 03:27, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - still fails notability tests; redirect to her band. --Orange Mike | Talk 03:27, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong Keep The Saturdays are quite an equal band and all five of them sing lead vocals so are all notable IMHO. Readers might in interested in various biographical information about Una Healy (and presumably Mollie King and Vanessa White too) which it would not be appropriate to have in the main article about the group so keep I say. SmokeyTheCat •TALK• 09:28, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep She's a member of a notable band (charting music, acting credits, etc) and including her personal information in the band article would only make that article harder to read than it needs to be. In this case merging is a bad idea, and she obviously passes WP:MUSIC criteria, so deletion isn't appropriate either. - Mgm|(talk) 10:36, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep She seems to have done a bit of note outside/before The Saturdays. Won the Glinsk Song Contest twice, and was an All-Ireland swimming champion. Otherwise, as per Smokey and MGM above. Peridon (talk) 22:11, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom. No evidence of notability. "represented Ireland ... as backing singer" is surely not enough NBeale (talk) 23:39, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep There are thousands for news sources for this singer which seem ample to demonstrate notability per ]
- About 140 - of which this seems to be fairly typical. Do we really need ar artcile about every minor celeb? NBeale (talk) 15:14, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep The media considers her notable enough to mention her whenever possible. And the Wikipedia has no limit space wise, no sense not making it as complete as possible. Dream Focus 16:46, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak keep. She won the Glinsk Song Contest in Ireland twice[1] ("The longest surviving song contest in Ireland",[2] and "the biggest song-writing contest to be held in the country"[3]), and she had already received some coverage as a singer before joining The Saturdays.[4][5][6]. If the article is deleted at least some of her biographical info should be included in The Saturdays. Fences&Windows 18:35, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. I have read the keep arguments and they seem to make her notable enough for her own article. Facha93 (talk) 02:40, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Weak keep it does meet the requirements of ]
- Keep For the reasons above. I think she's notable enough for an article, as are Vanessa White and Molly King (Kyleofark (talk) 14:38, 11 December 2009 (UTC))[reply]
- Keep per reasoning above. De728631 (talk) 17:00, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. This is crazy. I expect to find wikipedia pages for individual members of pop groups who have had numerous hit singles. 82.41.218.178 (talk) 18:59, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong keep. Saw Una Healy's EP on itunes, has acted in movies, is a famous singer prior to entering the group. No reason for deleting the article. Vanessa White has gained fame as theatre singer/actress, is a prominent singer within the group. Known throughout England before entering the group. Orane (talk) 01:16, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
