- Refaat Alareer (history · last edit · rewrite) Take your pick on where the content in question has been copied from and that's part of the problem here for one. The content in question is this rev that I've already revdel'd and is a poem by Alareer. As the discussion at Talk:Refaat Alareer#Copyright shows there are opinions varying from

- it's a copyvio,
- Alareer wanted it to be shared, it has been widely published and although there's no explicit release it's obvious it is released therefore IAR should apply,
- via, NFCC applies as it's just a small part of a journal.
I've looked for a release that I think would satisfy WMF licensing conditions and I can't find one which is why I used revdel on the edit. At least one editor disagrees with me and as I doubt the talk page will reach a consensus I'm bringing it here for wider attention. Nthep (talk) 19:03, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- It fulfills all ten criteria of NFCC, most importantly #2, as the poem is published in a 2014 book; quoting it therefore does not limit any commercial opportunities for the copyrighted book. Makeandtoss (talk) 20:26, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- By that standard, any poem published in a collection could be reproduced in full. That’s just not the case: fair use allows quoting at most a few lines of an individual poem, not reproducing a copyrighted poem in full. Innisfree987 (talk) 23:12, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Note that a translation has been deleted from the Commons where an admin agrees that absent a release for the original work, a reproduction in full is a copyvio. Innisfree987 (talk) 23:20, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

- "Copyright Biographical Research Center 2014", the entire poem, yeah it's copyrighted. I don't think NFC would ever apply to an entire poem, even if it's only one part of a book or collection. Sennecaster (Chat) 02:07, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
