Black Mirror (2011–2023) is a British anthology television series created by Charlie Brooker. Across its 27 standalone episodes and the interactive film Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, it explores science fiction technologies and dystopias to make commentary on contemporary social issues. The series began on the British network Channel 4 before being commissioned by the online streaming platform Netflix. It garnered critical acclaim and, according to some commentators, led to a repopularisation of the anthology format.
