Why?

Everybody should have a basic understanding of how Wikipedia works, but this becomes especially important for media studies and journalism students. Wikipedia can be an amazing tool to learn media literacy, to understand how knowledge can be created in a collaborative way, to learn critical thinking skills, research skills and IT skills.

This project will be a hub for journalism students at LSBU to be able to practice editing a Wikipedia page and see how Wiki markup works - project pages like this one can only be edited in the source editor using Wiki markup, and not in visual editor like most pages on Wikipedia.
