This article is about a strange, footnote-of-history type character. A British prince who became a German duke and later a Nazi leader. It is currently a good article which has recently been unofficially reviewed by Gerda Arendt and Surtsicna. I am hopping to get it ready for an FAC.

Apologies for the delayed response, Llewee. On a first glance at the lead & sources, here are my comments:

  • Why not link to the French/Italian wiki page for Princess Caroline Mathilde in the infobox?

  • Those edits were related to a discussion which has been taking place about whether a line should be included in the intro. I think the editor in question may have got frustrated and made some changes that were ill-judged. In any case, the edits have been reverted and I think the matter is now settled.   • #31 and #10 seem to be the same source, can we club them? #5, #34 & #35 seem to have the same problem.
  • I think this issue has been sorted now.
  • The alt text on the images is great, but I believe you have not added alt text to a few images in the early parts of the article.

Image review

  • Move all images to right orientation, you have some which are left oriented.
    MOS:SANDWICH
    warn against this.
  • Do we have the source for image #2, CE's birthplace? If so, do add it.
  • Add the archive.org link for the 5th image, the one of the young duke in his WWI uniform.
  • You will have to add US copyright tags on the Wikimedia pages for all the images which don't have. This is generally an issue most FA reviewers bring yp, so I would suggest you resolve it before nominating for FA.
  • For the first image of the Duke & Duchess with their kids, you will need a better source than Ebay, because it will be treated as still being protected by copyright.
  • You should add the names of the people sitting with the Duke in the photo with Goebbels to the caption, namely Gorring, Sonnemann and Lipski.
  • For all the German language sentences in the Wikimedia files, you should add English translations, because most people can't read German, and the FA reviewers you get also might not be able to.

General comments

  • What was the Duke's reaction to Caroline's allegations of sexual assault? We get no information on the aftermath and the truth, and are left on a cliffhanger. This is pretty significant so I would ask you to add some more details if they are available. If not, you should add that explanation.
  • What was the Duke's reaction to Hubertus' death in combat? You have included most details of his personality, but left out this important part.
  • The article really needs a bibliography. I will add one soon, you will then have to add sfn tags in place of the current citations. Are you aware of this format?

I would also suggest adding the ISBN for Prince Andreas' biography, you should find it easily on Google Books. Source #95 is not complete, it looks copied. You should reformat it. Also, in source #64, is Sunday Post the same as The Sunday Post? I can't tell because I don't have access to BNA. Have you had time to look at the other points raised above? Matarisvan, I have added the links and ISBN. I think you mean Henderson's book by the incomplete source which is now fixed. The Sunday post link feels right to me. The linked newspaper was first published in 1914. Also, you get a clear impression from the cited article that it was written with a Scottish audience in mind and the linked newspaper is mainly circulated in Scotland.
On the older suggestions, I've added a bit more context on the points you brought up about his personal life though their isn't much information available in the sources I have access to. I have added US copyright notices where they are missing. I assume the photos that have been given to the Commons by the German Archive don't need any additional notices? I couldn't find an archived page for that deadlink so I have replaced the image with another from the same time period. I've still got some work to do on the images which should be done shortly. Yes, I will post them soon. You should look again at the source for the 2nd image, the one of the Duke's birthplace. "Photography" as a source will not work, you will have to reverse search the image and find the original source. Also, in the caption for the photo of the Duke with Goebbels, you should add the names of Hermann & Emmy Gorring and Jozef Lipski, as previously recommended. Very well. Alpha order in the bibliography is alright. You will have to look at the ISBN format though, you have to decide whether you want to use dashes for these or not. For the Telegraph source, the Gerard O'Donovan link looks wrong, you should remove it; and also change the website parameter from the URL to 'The Telegraph' which should be linked; also set the URL access level parameter to subscription. On O'Donovan, it initially struck me as a bit weird but the linked article cites his telegraph page which has a lot of articles about culture and reviews of radio and podcasts so its plausible.
