- I am not an expert, but wouldn't the copyright belong to the artist? I see no mention of the artist releasing his rights. Muhandes (talk) 08:38, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete: per nom. This uploader appears to be unreliable and makes data changes depending on how their images are tagged. File is a derivative image of a 2D artwork without any evidence of permission. File:Gia Bugadze books.jpg may have been a previously deleted version of the same image under a different name but not being an admin I can't check it. ww2censor (talk) 06:06, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Yes website says it is free but file says ADAM in the bottom and it looks like images from ADAM is something you have to pay for - check http://www.adamimages.com/ MGA73 (talk) 21:26, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- A tin-eye search shows it's used on multiple sites, but the original clearly belongs to "A.D.A.M., Inc." as the watermark indicates. The terms and conditions of A.D.A.M. indicate that "the content accessible within the Website (the "Content") is the proprietary information of the Company and its content providers, and the Company and its content providers retain all right, title, and interest in the Content." So it's possible that the image is actually copyright, and the Life in spite of MS website is mistaken in claiming it's copyright-free. It certainly deserves further investigation to clarify the issue. --RexxS (talk) 22:42, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you detectives. The source website of this image and many other images states very explicitly that "image is copyright free". If you guys wish to have it deleted, go ahead, I don't much care; but you are depriving the project of a useful image so that you can look important and have something to do.WildHorsesPulled (talk) 19:31, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Copyright is important. I can not take a car just because I like it and Wikipedia can not just take the work of others just because we like it. We do not blame you for uploading the file because you took it from a source that told you it was free. But when we find out it is not free we should delete it. --MGA73 (talk) 22:37, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
