• The uploader has cited themselves as the license holder, however it appears this photo was taken during a match. Typically, the clubs, promoters or broadcasters reserve all rights to imagery captured during a match. It is therefore possible this is an unfree file. An image taken during a match is owned by the person who took the image. If this is a breach of the ticket conditions then that is a civil contract issue and has no effect on the images copyright. It's worth noting that a number of the user's other uploads have been deleted, seemingly for copyright breaches. Many of them seem to be similar to this photograph (photos of footballers taken during matches). This is a non-professional image that I can't find via tineye or google searching. It's been taken only a couple of months ago with a simple camera and edited today (looks like cropped to just the player) before uploading. The deleted images I've looked at are obvious webscrapings (cropped pro images or other things that are certainly not self-made. - Peripitus (Talk) 11:07, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Some searching tells me this image is c.1939. It's been widely published including the cover of a book that dates from 1977 (http://www.amazon.com/Will-Always-Remember-Premier-En-lai/dp/1414700466). Image is cropped from a larger (wider) official portrait. I think the licensing is probably correct but given the lack of provenance, and the fact that there will be better versions of this out there, I don't think we need to keep it. - Peripitus (Talk) 23:12, 10 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
