April 29

Shouldn’t there be a movie release date for Canada as well?

When I read Wikipedia articles about movies, the release date section shows only the release date for the United States. But when I read the section about how it grossed, it says (Insert movie title) grossed $xxx in the US and Canada. To that reasoning, shouldn’t the release date section for all movies show the release date for Canada as well?

If you find sources to indicate a separate date for Canada, you can feel free to add that information so long as you
cite your sources. Some movies have a combine "North American" release date, or may be listed as "US and Canada" together. In those specific cases where you have specific sources that give Canadian information, feel free to add it. --Jayron32 12:38, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply

Great reply! The updated wording for a movie release date that’s listed as “US and Canada” will look like this: April 26, 2019 (United States and Canada), and if there’s a separate release date for Canada, the wording will look like this: April 28, 2019 (Canada). Please note that I’m using example dates. And as you said, I’ll need to cite, which is adding a source in order to use such wording.
