Loded Diper is a German hard rock band formed by musician Rodrick Hezmann in 1999.[1] They are best known for song "Baby" (2000). Band members are their lead singer Rodrick Hezmann, Bill Walter (guitarist and singer), Albert Melzer, a.k.a. Drew (bassist), Denis Lagager, a.k.a. Mackie (bassist), Ben Segal (rhythm guitar, lead vocals), Daniel Bitgrel, a.k.a. Ward (backing singer). Loded Diper's title was inspired by rock bands Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe. Both bands have archaic spellings just like Löded Diper. The letter "ö" in Löded Diper emphasizes Germanness.[2]

Creation of Loded Diper

First period (1999-2003)

When Rodrick attended Westmore Middle School, he became friends with Drew and Ward, both of whom later became members of the band. Rodrick met Bill Walter while camping out the night before a concert. Ward quit his job as the security guard and a new member named Mackie, joins as the band's guitarist. During the summer, Rodrick initially wanted an electric guitar for his new band. However, dad talked him into getting a drum set because one of the neighbors was selling one at a cheap price.

Bill Walter is 20 years older than other band's members. He was 40 when band was founded. He was unemployed then and still resided with his parents. He chose to socialize with teenagers rather than those his own age, who have already settled into their professional lives. When his parents offered him to move out, he eventually moved in to live with his grandmother.

But since their plan was never put into action, Bill suggested an alternative stunt: dropping a giant diaper from the top of a skyscraper but the band had no resources to get a diaper that big nor do they want to climb up the stairs again. Drew said they could just do the same thing except decreasing the scale of their stunt. Loded Diper were repeatedly swept away during their performances.

In 2001, they released hit song "Baby" and official music video appeared in Youtube in 2007. Their another video for "Exploded" was removed due to brutal scenes.

In 2003, the group reported to be split after four years of working together.

Return (2018-present)

In the spring of 2018, the band's leader, Rodrick, announced that the group plans to return, but that it would no longer include Bill Walter. After returning, the band took a step forward and furthered themselves from the series, making original songs and albums. Before the quarantine, they managed to release two songs "Boardwalk" and "Watch the World Burn", but they were rated unfavorably. Album "Love and Youth" was very criticised. In early 2020, the band announced in the beginning of the pandemic that they were taking a temporary break from music. In October 2023, the band reported that Aiden Bonilla and Drew Macneil are the new members.
