Suspected sockpuppets

A succession of IPs located in Lithuania have been spamming fake content about 'Frank Mortenson' into International Festivals and Events Association. [1] [2] [3] These were reverted and an IP blocked. Then user:Gaingroo, a new account, popped up to edit war the content back into the article[4].

User:Birdsflyinghigh123 created Frank Mortenson, subsequently deleted. Compare also behaviour of User:Queder Med[5] & User:Queder Med2[6], User: Ysuhgd[7], user:Wiikilover[8] (all revision deleted).

The spamming of 'Frank Mortenson' is a cross-wiki problem, see e.g. SRM.

Request check for sleepers.

P.S. I've added (Redacted) and (Redacted) who disrupted User:Meters/Frank Mortenson LTA with threats. --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 01:44, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • The user has been blocked indefinitely on pt.wiki after spamming 'Edwin Symonowicz' name there[9]. The name 'Edwin Symonowicz' is frequently spammed together with 'Frank Mortenson'. e.g. [10].
  • Note also the user’s response[11] on meta to the suggestion that an abuse filter has been set up for these names (Frank Mortenson & Edwin Symonowicz). --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 20:03, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • This is a bad faith request. None of these stupid sockpuppet accounts were, are or will be associated with me, and it seems like it would be a conspiracy of few different editors to involve me in this kind of nonsense. Malcolmxl5 also acts in bad faith while repeatedly reverting the content of International Festivals and Events Association where the directors of this organization are being mentioned. Seriously, explain me what's the purpose to initially revert the content and then out of blue blame me for sockpuppetry with accounts I have never managed in my life??? If your purpose is to hide who were and are the CEOs of International Festivals and Events Association, then say it straight, don't play stupid reverting games. --Gaingroo (talk) 16:07, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • You are the latest in a long line of IPs and accounts spamming fake content about Edwin Symonowicz and Frank Mortenson on Wikipedia and other wiki projects. What is your explanation for that behaviour? --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 17:00, 11 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you at least cared about the content, you would have noticed that I only revert your malicious edits at International Festivals and Events Association. It has nothing to do with Frank Mortenson, he is mentioned there, but this talks ABOUT CEOS OF THIS ORGANIZATION. SINCE WHEN MENTIONING THE CEOS OF SOME ORGANIZATION which has its own article on Wikipedia became a spam????? If you think it's spam, please nominate for deletion the whole article about IFEA!!! --Gaingroo (talk) 10:37, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • I agree that these are sockpuppets of Birdsflyinghigh123. No other accounts are immediately visible on CU. All accounts have already been blocked. I'm going to go ahead and courtesy-blank a few of the usernames from the SPI because they are quite inappropriate—I've replaced them with {{redacted}}, but they can be viewed in the page history. no No comment with respect to IP address(es). I'll request a global lock for Gaingroo. Closing. Mz7 (talk) 18:11, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

90.131.47.144 said [12], that Drvhski is his account, Drvhski confirmed [13]; also Drvhski confirmed [14], that Rachun123 is his puppet. Rachun123 mentioned [15] 'Edwin Symonowicz' on English Wikipedia (like previous puppets, see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Birdsflyinghigh123/Archive). Also Drvhski edited article about Elena Zagorskaya, see Talk:Elena_Zagorskaya#Hoax. Хоббит (talk) 13:33, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Very same contribution cross-wiki. Хоббит (talk) 13:48, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • 90.131.32.136 added hoax about Elena Zagorskaya [16] (there is no mention of Elena Zagorskaya in this book according Google Books). Хоббит (talk) 14:12, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Group 1  Confirmed to each other:
  • Group 2  Confirmed to each other:
  • The following accounts were on the same IP as Group 1 and Group 2, and are  Highly likely to each other and the accounts above.

I've blocked all the accounts, with rare exception based on both behavioural and technical evidence. I'm not sure, but I may have blocked some others. I do want to note these two additional accounts:

who are blocked and confirmed to each other. Jibeshelm makes some interesting comments on ruwiki. In my opinion it's very likely the same user as all the above. -- zzuuzz (talk) 21:24, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Same nonsensical edits about "Edwin Symonowicz" in Christian Oliver like in previous cases about Birdsflyinghigh123, also located in the same region as previously reported IP addresses:
