Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence submitted by McJeff

The background info. User:Commoncase has shown a very strong focus on editing an article about the professional wrestling documentary film Bloodstained Memoirs. There is in fact substantial evidence that he is actually involved in the film [1] [2], although he has denied it [3].

One of his distinctive editing habits is make, for lack of a better word, threats, consisting mainly of insinuations and declarations that the "moderators" are going to "take action" and hand out punishments to the "vandals" who edit the articles.

Today, User:Arthur Cutz returned from a 5 month absence to continue Commoncase's edit war. Arthur continued many of the behaviors of Commoncase, including...

  • Threats of "action"/future consequences. Commoncase Arthur Cutz Arthur Cutz
  • Filing reports at AIV over the article Commoncase Arthur Cutz
  • Difficulties spelling the word "permanent". "perminate" - Commoncase "permenate" - Arthur Cutz
  • Inability to differentiate between a content dispute and vandalism - no diffs to support this but a casual look at their contributions will show - while I've been busy filing this Arthur Cutz has complained to admins directly and even posted on
    Wikipedia:Long term abuse
    about this.
  • Additionally, a look at their writing style utterly fails the
    Duck Test
    .

Conclusions

information Administrator note I was the admin that originally protected the page in question based on a perceived edit war. On further investigation and based on McJeff's evidence above, these two users are very clearly the same person. Commoncase (talk · contribs) and Arthur Cutz (talk · contribs) both blocked indefinitely for abusive sockpuppetry and 3RR evasion. ~ mazca talk 20:49, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
