Suspected sockpuppets

Both sockmaster and sockpuppet has a keen interest on the Genesis (TV series) article. User:FedericoMacalintal was first caught adding copyrighted content on the said article and other GMA Network TV series articles. User also creates lists of characters for said TV shows and copy-pasted their content from their sources. FedericoMacalintal was blocked on March 11 for 72 hours due to numerous copyright violations. The sockmaster became inactive and on March 13, User:CoronelaPoblacion was created and took off where FedericoMacalintal left. User continued on adding copyrighted material from GMA Network on his contributions and recreated the Genesis (TV series) list of characters with basically the same content. See 1 (created by FedericoMacalintal) and 2 (created by CoronelaPoblacion) as evidence of sockpuppetry. Both accounts may be linked to User:HardcorePunkIsland, an inactive user since 2014 who also has the same editing pattern (creates dubious lists of guest characters on GMA Network TV shows).

After User:CoronelaPoblacion was warned as a sockpuppet, User:FedericoMacalintal became active again and recreated the "List of guest stars" articles relating to GMA Network TV shows. Another sockpuppet (User:FilipinoFinalists) became active and did the same editing pattern compared to the two accounts. He even created article, which is very similar on what User:CoronelaPoblacion have created: forking lists of characters from the main article itself without any improvements made.- WayKurat (talk) 02:53, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WP:DUCK per behavioral evidence. Re-added a bunch of removed information previously added by confirmed FedericoMacalintal/Dakotaparty socks at the List of Genesis (TV series) characters article. User also created an article (Joshua Uy) with the same creation pattern by the sockpuppets, which is creating a redirect on a Philippine TV show first then edits the redirect with the content he wanted to add. I assume you want me to compare the deleted article created by Carizza with the version(s) created by the confirmed socks, but even though you omit that part of what you want, you then say "and block". That can't be right. If I'm going to block no matter what, what's the point of comparing them? Do you want me to block only if they are identical? If they are similar? Followup on this concern. Dakotaparty already created three new sockpuppets after this SPI has been created, the most recent is User:Sunshinebernardo. Suspected sockpuppets


WP:DUCK per behavioral evidence. The new sockpuppet was created on May 21, almost a day after all of the previous socks were blocked. The new sock edits the same articles that the blocked sockpuppet was editing or created. New sock was also seen deleting a PROD nomination on one of the previous sockpuppet's creations. WP:DUCK based on behavioral evidence. New sock (User:Mervinza55) was created the same time that the latest sock account got blocked (User:Daniella Jacklyn). The new sock edited the Beautiful Strangers (TV series) article and even created a new article for the show's list of characters (List of Beautiful Strangers characters), a known behavior of Dakotaparty and his/her socks. Also, Mervinza55 was also caught editing the userpage another possible sock account (User:Jcvelonza25).  Clerk note: I've added Pauleenmitra, which was created a few days after the last batch of socks was blocked. Celinemonasterio in turn was created 4 minutes after Pauleenmitra's last edit.

Pauleenmitra has made the same edits as past socks (ie moving Albert Bermudez from the "Main cast" section to "Special participation": [1][2]). Celinemonasterio continued working on Pauleenmitra's recent creation Marc Justine Alvarez (actor). Celinemonasterio has also made the same edits as past socks (ie removing "Lance" from Lawrence Castillo here: [3] vs [4]).

The master has a habit of creating IP pages with just the IP address: [5][6][7].

These look like ducks to me. Could an admin please indef?

Second Chances (Filipino TV series), My Faithful Husband, and Once Again (Philippine TV series) for evidence). Also the new sockpuppet's username (User:Carmimontesado) is very similar to one previously blocked sock (User:Celinemonasterio
). Also, please check if the IP address of this user can be blocked. He have created a lot of sockpuppets this month alone.

Only the IP address blocked from the previous SPI and the new sock are heavily editing this recreated article. A possible sock (User:MetalcoreSuarez) also moved this page from draft. Also, user keeps on adding a certain "Jodense Valenciano" (possibly the real name of this vandal) on every TV show article he edits, similar on what the previous sock was doing, which even created an article about this Jodense Valenciano guy. Similar behavior pattern but I doubt that this account belongs to Dakotaparty. Dakotaparty is creating an article about a certain "Jodense Valenciano", and seldom creates articles of other non-notable personnel. Adding User:CeciliaLupin and 112.202.38.254 to the SPI. For behavioral evidence, IP address edited the Sinungaling Mong Puso article, adding a sypnosis that was copied from the show's website, a known behavior of Dakotaparty and his socks (see edit history for evidence). All socks, Ronneljake12099, CeciliaLupin and the IP address have been involved in editing the Gabriel de Leon and the Gab de Leon article. Both article are pointing to one person, with Gab de Leon being created much earlier. Suspected sockpuppets


Since the last reported sock for this user was reported last July 2016, I'll be starting off with behavioral evidence against this possible sockpuppet. This possible sock was seen creating "list of guest cast" articles on several Philippine TV shows, specifically, shows aired by

List of Encantadia (2016 TV series) guest cast and List of A1 Ko Sa 'Yo guest cast). This was also done by Dakotaparty and several of his blocked sockpuppets before on several GMA Network shows: Beautiful Strangers (TV series), Genesis (TV series)
among others.

Please check if there are any sleeper accounts for this sock since he tends to create several sockpuppet accounts before the active sock gets blocked. - WayKurat (talk) 05:05, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • I looked through the contributions and didn't find any "smoking gun". Just operating in a similar topic area isn't sufficient to determine sockpuppetry. There need to be at least some actual behavioral similarities, and I'm not seeing any that could lead to a block. This account became dormant then just recently became active again, adding that same name on several Philippine TV show articles. This user was caught re-creating the Jodense Valenciano article twice already, one of the articles that Dakotaparty and the previously blocked socks tried to post. (It was deleted numerous times per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jodense Valenciano). This user was also caught adding the said name to several Philippine TV articles such as this, this and this. An IP address was also seen doing the same activity. Please see this. Please note that this is the third time we have reported this account as a sockpuppet of Dakotaparty. This account's behavior is really similar on the ones that were blocked in 2016. Please see the references I reported in SPI in June 20, 2016 and by OnionRing on July 2, 2016. Other than an obvious interest in Jodense Valenciano, although Jodense has created an article about them only once on March 23, 2015, there’s been no other behavioral evidence submitted. I will not look back to the diffs of previous reports. If there are any that are specific to Jodense, they should have been provided here.
