Suspected sockpuppets

Both accounts are creating promotional articles, e.g., Morris Waxler, Bruce Temkin, Erik Wahl, that were commissioned to the same Elance account. There are some relevant external links here Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Morris Waxler (2nd nomination). Logical Cowboy (talk) 14:09, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Apart from the main pair of Muhammad Ali Khalid / Just A Common Guy, I believe that Gibco65 & Rogerdavis101 are also socks, brought in to !vote "keep" when a couple of the promotional articles went to AfD. I can't predict whether or not Muhammad Ali Khalid would have tried to evade checkuser but I think it's worth checking, especially considering the possibility of other socks. Judging that elance account's sudden change of direction after I mentioned COI, it's possible that a clean new account has been created. There's a long, boring collection of links &c in the thread on the COI noticeboard but, to cut a long story short, one person on elance won a string of jobs to create promotional articles, but those articles were actually created by two different accounts on en.wiki - I believe this was an attempt to evade WP:COI scrutiny (after concerns were raised with Muhammad Ali Khalid, that account stopped editing and JACG started). bobrayner (talk) 21:20, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is Roger Davis. I don't even know what a sock is. I can barely understand the code necessary to post here, because it's not HTML. But since this debate is about whether Morris Waxler is a notable person, I suggest you check the sources I named previously. You can simply search YouTube.com for Morris Waxler and then you learn that he has appeared on major major news programs. He was recently on the Dr. Oz show. To make it brief, Morris Waxler is the ultimate FDA insider about LASIK. He has come forward saying that he FDA was deceived about the safety of LASIK, the world's most popular surgery. His appearances on these news programs all alledge that the Lasik clinical trials were a medical coverup. Waxler is in the same league as David Graham, who outted the FDA's Vioxx coverup, and charged the FDA with attempting to suppress his data analysis. Should I add this into the Waxler article? Would that make it more obvious that Waxler is notable? Rogerdavis101 (talk) 16:08, 28 October 2013 (UTC)RogerDavis101[reply]
