Suspected sockpuppets

These three user accounts have been used to change BLP on Sana Javed. This bio is on a cricketer however the accounts are trying to change it to some non-notable actor therefore I suspect these all belongs to one person. P.S I don't have much experience with filing SPI's, therefore please ask if more information is required. Saqib (talk) 12:40, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

SahabAliwadia on his user page claim he created Kinza Hashmi, however the page was actually created by the now blocked User:Shashank0022. the page was expanded by SahabAliwadia after User:Shashank0022 was blocked.

The contributions (problematic in nature) of SahabAliwadia is also very similar to those of User:Ptcloof khan and User:Shashank0022.. SahabAliwadia is marking his own created pages as GA as can be seen here without any peer review. I know my evidences are not strong enough but given this user history (he have admitted in the past that he run socks and created some hoax articles), I doubt he is a sock. Suspected sockpuppets

There is cause for concern that this person (Ptcloof_khan) is continuing the abuse of multiple accounts. Previous socks were blocked on the following dates:

Two weeks after SahabAliwadia was blocked, the Fajar Shaikh (talk · contribs) user account was created and immediately reposted the deleted Kinza Hashmi (AfD) article to their userpage. The bulk of material edits to this deleted article were also made by the same three accounts listed above.

Under these circumstances I am requesting a CU to determine if this is indeed continued block evasion, and pending the results will determine the disposition of the reposted deleted article in userspace.

  •  On hold - @Yamaguchi先生: I'm not so sure here. The userpage is about a singer/songwriter, but the article was about an actress/model. The birth dates are different. Seems like totally unrelated people with the same name, and I don't know that's enough to check based on. Do you have any other behavioral evidence? ~ Rob13Talk 13:22, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
On second pass you are right. The source article is actually Momina Mustehsan (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) which itself was plagued by Ishq Hawa Mein socks. A few extra eyes here may be helpful, but please go ahead and close this case for now. Regards, Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 17:29, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I should add that there are three master overlaps, but primarily this one. See also SahibCollege55 and SahabAliwadia. In addition, also has significant overlap with an unblocked user recreating several of these sock farms' articles. (See:ALIwaince) CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 18:03, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

These three Sockpuppets have one thing in common, they crafted BLP on

which is a confirmed sock of master account Ptcloof_khan, made similar contributions to the same BLP in August 2017..

On a similar note, how come the master account (Ptcloof_khan) not blocked? Saqib (talk) 19:15, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Bbb23: BUMP, the socks continue to adding poorly unsourced BLPs. Anyone going to investigate them? --Saqib (talk) 14:29, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

    • Zthemerch & Najia Irfan
There isn’t a lot to go on here. - Zthemerch has had only 10 edits and Najia Irfan 5 and neither have edited since early November. However, and looking at edits related to the Mir family, Najia has 5 /5 ‘Mir’ edits and Zthemerch 10/10. Given User:Shashank0022’s interest in this topic and some editing similarities this is just about enough to put them in the Ptcloof khan frame. They have been blocked and tagged.
    • Hj.hj.hj.hjkk
Recreating Ahad Raza Mir with a very similar edit to Shashank0022 apart, this editor seems to have a different style to the others. Nonetheless they have interests in articles in common with Ptcloof khan and socks that total about 50 edits – around 25% of their small edit count. If I knew more about Bollywood I might be able to spot other similarities but this seems to me to be inconclusive by itself. Behavioural evidence collection is ongoing. Ben MacDui 18:03, 24 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Additional: User:Saqib nominated Hareb Farooq (which had been created by Hj) for deletion and 2 days later received a polite note from Hj about this on their talk page. By contrast Hj has not responded to their own talk page note about this SPI posed by Saqib on 28th December – over a month before the AfD nom.
Looking again at the suspected Ptcloof khan socks, SahabAliwadiais is listed but only CU ‘possible’ and has their own little smallholding at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/SahabAliwadia/Archive (not immediately obvious and their user page is still intact). There are some very limited similarities with Hj here including the location. (Arguably the two sock master archives should be merged.)
However, the Ptcloof khan and SahabAliwadia socks often engage in non-socking misbehaviours and there is no sign of that I can see with Hj.hj.hj.hjkk beyond creating non-notable articles. Furthermore, although the obsession with female celebs is common to Hj and Ptcloof, if they are the same individual then their proficiency in the English language is markedly improved in a few months.
As with the ‘possible’ CU evidence I’d say there are sufficient similarities to cause concern but not enough for action. Not proven. Ben MacDui 09:48, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
