  • *The only reason I say unlikely instead of unrelated is that Renameduser024/Mrfrobinson edit out of their normal editing country within a days drive from Rowssusan/Tracescoops. The UA does not match.
  • If a clerk could sort out a new case for the Renameduser024 group, that would be great. --

Suspected sockpuppets

Evidence presented by Cirt

  1. Sock account inactive for six (6) years LINK. After sockmaster gets blocked LINK, sock picks up editing again shortly after block DIFF.
  2. Block evasion. Sockmaster blocked indef by DeltaQuad with "checkuserblock-account"
  3. Trolling SPI filing shows not here to build an encyclopedia. DIFF.
  4. Prior confirmed socking at Archive.
  5. Block on the sockpuppet account can be acted upon per
    WP:DUCK
    .

Requesting Checkuser analysis due to prior confirmed history of socking, combined with time period gaps of years in the contribs of the sock account = strong likelihood of sleeper sock accounts.

I added Milligansuncle above, which was some kind of very sneaky SOCK (already blocked as a sock, but the master was not identified yet). Similar behavior to the master and this sock, in that the accounts are purely disruptive and targeted at me, Quackguru, and now Guy as well. The master appears to be collecting grudges as they go. Timeline

  • per its contribs, Milligansuncle did some very clever things to make itself appear to be a sock of Andy Dingley that was hounding me, leading me to file an SPI that showed (unsurprisingly) that it was not a sock of Andy. See SPI archive.
  • Milligansuncle was blocked by Guy 22:23, 5 April 2016 for obviously being a sock of someone.
  • Onhost at 17:08, 6 April 2016 filed a lame SPI against me and Cirt.
  • Onhost had previously "woken up" and appeared out of nowhere to make arguments (that were kind of nonsensical) against Quackguru at the fringe notice board, here and here and here.

The third account for CU is Threegoodmonkeys which has been blocked also by Guy. I would reckon the name refers to Quackguru, me, and Guy. This account made only two, purely trolling edits:

Milligansuncle and Threegoodmonkeys are sockpuppets belonging to the WURT sockfarm. WURT has no knowledge of the other alleged sockpuppets in this investigation. WURT is certainly targetting Jytdog and JzG, and for good reason. These two pompous and foul-mouthed bullies need taking down a peg or two. WURT is not targetting QuackGuru - we think he is a good chap - but he has no connection with WURT. WURT is happy to assist in clearing people who may be falsely accused of being WURT members but the lightening deletion of our contributions does not make this easy. Ok in all honestly WURT isn't me. In fact I am a little offended that they got looped in with me. I only had one other account, RugbyRobo, which you can go and block. All this started because I tried to vanish but QuackGuru was insistent on outing me, somehow resulting in me getting a 1 week block for edit warring and him getting 24 hours. Fact of the matter JzG is a great admin, Jytdog honestly you are a great editor however you are too heavy handed, QuackGuru needs to find a new hobby and leave this place (you are toxic) and Cirt well I still think Cirt is someone's sock, the evidence is clear on that. Cirt is a fraud, a pretend-a-admin, collects admin accounts on lesser known project sites. Jytdog keep up the work are you doing. I did not support the sock. The sock supports my essay. WURT is referring to the essay I created.

  • User:LFaraone thanks for performing a CU. Would you please describe what you checked? This case has become really complex with what appears to be three separate Masters involved and I am not sure how to appropriately disentangle them. Also looking at block log it appears that you just blocked the following -- would you please name who the Master for these was?

User:LFaraone, there are at least three different people socking. Renameduser024, the Wikipedia Urgent Reform Team (WURT), and IP 65.186.95.8. Earthisnearlyflat is probably a sock from WURT. Earthisnearlyflat was blocked as a sock of Renameduser024. This could be a mistake. QuackGuru (talk) 01:19, 17 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets


The time from the last sock has probably been too long, so this will have to be behavioral. I have requested CU because the Sockmaster has created sleepers before, so if you find the evidence compelling I would urge you to do a CU

The sockmaster (whose account was renamed from Mrfrobinson) and subsequent socks edited often about Canadian topics, stalked User:QuackGuru and subsequently spread that to me, and used FRINGEN as a jumping off point (some evidence here but unlisted IPs did that mostly). That is what this account has been doing.

  • Canada: Sockmasters, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd edits were to Canadian topics per their contribs, 15 edits to WikiProject Canada.. Socks: see here (first edit of one)
  • Obsession with QuackGuru and subsequently me. Well, some dispute with Quack over WP:Articles for deletion/Knowledge Engine (Wikimedia Foundation) is where Mrfrobinson/Renameduser024 lost it, so I don't need to establish that. Subsequently me, for instance this SPI filed against me, cited by Cirt in one of the SPI cases in the archive, and see these two strange edits spreading their ire from me to Drmies and DGG here and here. This behavior also included jumping into discussions at EWN that Quack or I were involved in: see this
  • Fringe notice board: this socking IP edit, and this and there are other IP edits not included in the case.

Blocks in the last SPI ended in mid-April of this year, per that case.

So EditorDownUnder appeared about two weeks later on May 4 of this year.
  • Edits 1 through 3 were:
1) to FRINGEN edit;
2) an edit at my Talk page rebuking me for what I wrote on that board, and
3) another FRINGEN edit.
  • 5th edit was rebuke to Quack on his talk page
  • 6th edit was rebuke to me on an article Talk page they had never edited before (clearly hounding)
  • 8th edit was nominating a Canadian-topic article for deletion, here
  • 12th edit was to a Canadian topic here that the Sockmaster had tagged for speedy and subsquently nominated for deletion
  • Edits 13, 14, and 15 were to Talk:Harassment, here, on a topic related to my recent block, unsurprisingly taking a stance antagonistic toward those arguing to make an exception to OUTING for COI work
  • Edits 16-20 are back to Canadian topics
  • Edit 21 is back to me, stalking me at an article I was working on, here, and citing a Canadian website (double points, there)
  • Edits 22 and 23 are criticizing me about something else at that article's talk page here and then bringing that to my Talk page here
  • Edits 28 and 29, their last two, are stalker-y attacks about my editing at yet another article, here and the last one, jumping into a 3RR discussion, here.

So stalker-y for Quackguru and me (especially me this time); Canadian focus, using FRINGEN as a launching point. Pretty DUCK to me. (I'll note that I had a stalker Biscuittin who was pretty good at spoofing other users but I am not going there; I am sticking with the surface. Jytdog (talk) 17:57, 29 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
