This template's sole purpose seems to be to create a piped link using the first parameter and amending " (state constituency)" to it. Because of this, it doesn't work right if this link leads to incomplete disambiguation, such as with Paloh (state constituency). (There seems to be some way to use 2nd and 3rd parameters in the template that could resolve this issue, but there is no documentation page explaining this, and even then, this template is still a template of linking convenience, and having to type like twice as many characters to link a title makes no sense.) Since this template seems to be a template of convenience that leads to situations like this and its only purpose is to create a link, this template should be substituted and deleted (and then Template:Nseat/spec should be deleted per {{Db-subpage}} after all instances of {{Nseat}} have been substituted.) • Delete Subst per nomination. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 14:46, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Subst/Delete It serves no purpose and has no documentation to make any sense from it. CRwikiCA talk 13:23, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The template itself is now outdated. I'm pretty sure it's not needed anymore given that it's been over a decade since the partition's establishment. 100.7.44.80 (talk) 19:12, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment It is used on a few articles, although most of them are lists. I cannot judge whether these articles have been appropriately updated since the partition. Because this is part of Wikipedia:List of controversial issues, we need to ensure this deletion by itself would not be controversial. Have the relevant wikiprojects/articles been notified of this TfD? CRwikiCA talk 19:33, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    I don't know, because I don't know which ones are relevant. 100.7.44.80 (talk) 23:29, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nomination. Replace with the update tag and add why. It's a simple replacement. And we don't need an update tag template for each country for specific events or moments in history, etc. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 14:46, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Agree with WikiCleanerMan, using the generic tag is better here. CRwikiCA talk 13:21, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

per the current convention for Olympics and Paralympics articles, the game and standings templates should be hosted in the parent article, and not in individual templates. if consensus changes over LST vs templates, we can always put all the matches and standings into a single template with a switch so we don't need to watch 39 templates per event. Not enough links to warrant a navbox.

The result of the discussion was delete after replacing with Template:Show by date. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 12:38, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just three transclusions. This template should be merged into the more full-featured {{Show by date}}, with which it appears to be redundant. Conversions will need to be manual, but they should be straightforward. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:53, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge/Delete per nom. Little used since it was created in 2009 and the alternative noted seems a better option. Nigej (talk) 12:53, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge does not need to be duplicated CRwikiCA talk 13:07, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
