Grammy Awards to recording artists for quality heavy metal music performances. The Grammy Awards is an annual ceremony, where honors in several categories are presented by The Recording Academy of the United States to "honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position". The honor was first presented to Metallica (pictured) at the 32nd Annual Grammy Awards (1990) for the song "One". Metallica holds the records for the most wins, with six.
