Wikipedia:Typo Team/Wiktionary cheat sheet
This page has copy-and-paste examples for adding words to Wiktionary when dealing with correctly-spelled words flagged by moss.
If you aren't confident in the definition of a word, you can use {{rfdef|en}}
("en" if it's an English word, otherwise the right language code).
Spelling variant
Compound vs. hyphen vs. two words
For example, teacup, tea-cup, and tea cup. An entry like "tea-cup" which is simply a variant on an existing entry can be added like this:
==English== ===Noun=== {{en-noun}} # {{alternative form of|en|teacup}}
Different letters only
If it were an accepted spelling, "teecup" might have an entry like:
==English== ===Noun=== {{en-noun}} # {{alternative spelling of|en|teacup}}
Abbreviation
Example for "IG":
==English== ===Noun=== {{en-noun}} # {{initialism of|en|inspector general}}
Inflected form of an existing word
Wiktionary uses separate but very short entries for plurals, past tense, etc. so these are easy to add.
If you enable "Add accelerated creation links for common inflections of some words." in your preferences on Wiktionary, you can create inflected forms quickly (using the links present in the headword line of the uninflected lemma — the links will turn green if it is possible to acceleratedly created entries using them).
Plural
For example, if you determine the word "widgets" is the plural form of the noun "widget", you would make a "widgets" entry like this:
==English== ===Noun=== {{head|en|noun form}} # {{plural of|en|widget}}
Past tense
If you determine "fooed" is the past tense of "foo", you would make "fooed" entry like this:
==English== ===Verb=== {{head|en|verb form}} # {{en-past of|foo}}
